DESCRIPTION

Amazon Redshift is looking for talented individuals with expertise and passion for building GIS support in the context of query optimization and parallel and distributed execution engines. In this role, you will have responsibility for:
· Own the design process, implementation, and verification of framework components leveraging standard software engineering methodologies
· Translating functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
· Participating in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
· Working with other teams to deliver and operate large scale, distributed services in the cloud
· Overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
· Mentoring other engineers, defining our technical culture, and helping to build a fast-growing team

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3 to 5 years experience writing large scale systems in C/C++ and/or Java
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
