Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is investing heavily to build a global, best in class advertising business and our organization is responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive product discovery and sales. We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily and are breaking fresh ground to create world-class products.

The Advertiser Intelligence team is chartered with defining and developing data science and machine learning driven products that create actionable, high-value recommendations related to advertising campaign management. We answer customers' strategic questions such as "what products should I advertise today?" and "what auction bidding strategy would result in the most ad impressions, clicks, or conversions?"

We are looking for a Data Engineer to navigate our data platforms and deliver data-driven insight about the performance of our products.

You should be an expert with very big data, SQL, NoSQL, and modern tools for data mining and presentation. You must also be a highly motivated, self-starter who can operate across team boundaries to complete the mission at hand. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers DBAs, product managers, data scientists, and others in order to turn raw data into features that support both machine learning models and metrics that help us assess such things as the outcome of A/B tests, attribution of business performance to our products, and other indicators of the real-world performance of our recommendation and forecasting systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach, learn, grow, and have fun, while contributing to a rapidly growing pillar of Amazon's business!
