The AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Palo Alto team is looking for experienced engineers to help us define and build the future of computing. The selected candidate will play a critical role in design and implementation of a new strategic product (V1.0 release) for Amazon AWS to help increase cloud adoption. We are building everything from low-level tools to web services to make the transition to the AWS cloud as simple as possible for our growing list of customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills. Comfortable in fast-paced, start-up like development environments.
· Experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and a passion for building and operating highly-available services.
· Experience in full-stack development using J2EE technologies is a plus.
· Experience in web development with HTML5, JQuery, React.
· Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in CS/EE or related field with 5+ years of experience or MS in CS/EE with 3+ years of experience.
· Solid hands-on development experience in Java or C#.
· Proven track record of leading the delivery of high-quality systems.
· Exposure to web services or REST services, and web development.
