The Amazon Video team delivers high-quality instant video to Amazon customers through subscriptions (Amazon Prime) as well as purchases and rentals. We'd love to have you join us and build the systems, services, and apps that delight our end users. We build apps for the web, mobile phones, tablets, smart TVs, game consoles, and set top boxes. We obsess over big picture problems like "How do we deliver video that's more reliable than the internet it's delivered over?" to low level details like "How do we squeeze maximum picture quality out of every bit delivered?" We build huge scale distributed systems on the AWS cloud to make sure our service is always reliable for our customers. We use computer vision and machine learning techniques to build rich metadata about videos, and partner closely with teams like IMDb to let customers explore deeper into the TV and movies they love. Expectations
We are seeking software engineers to join our Monitoring and Visualization team. You will be part of Prime Video's engineering technology for video applications on a wide variety of Living Room platforms including Smart TVs, Blu-ray players, Games Consoles. The successful candidate will take pride in the work they deliver and have a passion for building automated tools/services for Monitoring and Visualization needs.

As a member of the MoVi team, you will spend your time as a software development engineer and a technical leader. You will play a key role in delivering software products and features to the highest quality, using a wide range of technologies, devices and systems. Your focus will be on developing monitoring solutions to ensure customers have a seamless viewing experience. We develop intelligent solutions through, data warehousing and machine learning to ensure we understand and deliver the best customer experience. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design.

· Highly proficient in at least one of Java, C++, C#

· Experience with one or more of JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Perl

· Evidence of working with algorithms, data-structures, efficiency, concurrency, performance optimization.

· Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.

· OS fundamentals and systems architecture.

· Cloud computing, large-scale and high-availability distributed architecture.

· Experience working in an Agile environment.

· Strong analytical and excellent problem solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
