Senior Product Manager Technical, AWS Snow Services
Seattle (King) Sales
Job description
DESCRIPTION
AWS Snow Family are highly secure, petabyte-scale data transport and edge computing products that are used to collect, process, and move large amounts of data to AWS from on-premises and remote locations. Our appliances are highly secure, ruggedized, shippable devices that are able to survive rough handing, from commercial shipping to airdrops, they have their own weather proof shipping container with onboard sensors and an integrated display to make it easy for customers to adopt and use. The full solution is made up of a wide set of technologies covering the full-stack, including client software (Windows, Mac, and Linux), a device operating system, and device-based software delivering both on-device and in-cloud AWS services. Our goal is to make hybrid-edge computing and petabyte scale data movement simple, inexpensive, secure, ubiquitous, and fast.
We are looking for an experienced product manager thought leader to help us grow and operate this cloud-scale business. In this role you will be responsible for thinking big, setting direction and priorities, driving definitions, delivering results, growing customer adoption, and ensuring we exceed all customer expectations.
This position within the Snow services team represents a unique and rare opportunity to join a fast growing business and help shape all aspects of the business. A successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, high judgment, the ability to define visionary ground breaking products, the desire to have an industry wide impact, and the ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to rapidly deliver offerings that have a broad customer, industry, and business impact.
Work/Life Balance - Our team puts a high value on work-life balance.
On-Call Responsibility - This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our products are exceeding customer expectations. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the issue and ensure that root cause is addressed systemically.
Mentorship and Career Growth - Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our PMT and other Snow members truly enjoy mentoring and on-boarding new PMT members through one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, doc reviews.
We care about your career growth. We try to assign projects and tasks based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded PMT and enable them to take on more complex features and services in the future.
Inclusive Team Culture - Our team is intentional about attracting, developing, and retaining amazing talent from diverse backgrounds. Yes we do get to build a really cool service, but we also think a big reason for that is the inclusive and welcoming culture we try to cultivate every day.
We’re looking for a new teammate who is enthusiastic, empathetic, curious, motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively with a diverse team of peers; someone who will help us amplify the positive & inclusive team culture we’ve been building.
Come join a smart, innovative team that’s obsessed with serving its customers and is having fun doing so in a start-up-like environment!
