Security Support Engineer CAD

DESCRIPTION

The Global Security Operations Design, Device, and Technology (GSO-DDT) team is searching for an experienced CAD Designer to join our team. This position will provide support to the GSO-DDT team through preparation of computer generated design drawings from blueprints, models, hand drawings, and other archive types. Candidates should be well versed in graphical communication for security, electrical, mechanical, and construction drawings. The design documents will incorporate elements of high, medium, and low voltage transmission fundamentals, security equipment installations, industrial electrical distribution, wire types and sizes, conduit types and configurations, as well as fiber optic and copper data/voice media types, and fire protection plans, details, elevations, and schedules.

Major Responsibilities
· Establish and update MEP drawings, BIM models, Solidworks Models, standard blocks, symbols, & project templates
· Assist the data center design engineering team with data center construction & as-built documentation
· Work on diverse fast paced innovation projects
· Help facilitate the secure storage and distribution of drawing files
· Ensure that all drawings are accurate and updated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Large Project Revit Experience
· Component detailing and product development experience is a plus
· Experience having set up large CAD libraries or repositories
· Understanding of information security protocols for secure file storage and transfer
· Demonstrated ability to produce accurate documents consistently and meet schedules
· Excellent organization skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 2+years of experience within the CAD & MEP disciplines using AutoCad, Solidworks and Revit
· Experience working with building engineering and construction technology
· Experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents
