Job Overview
Amazon is seeking an experienced and business oriented Deployment Engineer.
You will be engaged with a talented on site team to deploy and execute Robotics technology across our EU fulfillment network.
This job requires a unique combination of flexibility, creativity, innovation, leadership, and effective communication.
You will travel extensively (~85%) to locations across Europe and on occasion to North America.
Successful candidates will have strong level of ownership and be highly motivated individuals who have an Engineering background and team lead experience.
This individual needs to be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization in order to be successful.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Work with internal Amazon teams and external vendors to deliver projects and innovations to win business:
· University Degree, B.S. or Master, in Engineering (or science/technology).
· Comfort with detailed and complex technology including software, hardware and robotics.
· Conduct multiple weekly standing meetings with internal teams and vendors to plan and track deliverables.
· Evaluate and simplify current working procedures and processes.
· Technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and leverage global design standardization.
· Coordination of several Engineering Contractors and vendors.
· Deep dive on technical details and lead problem resolution.
· Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests.
· Assist in critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays.
· Coordinate information between various teams in the organization.
· Own and develop technology innovations and solutions on a need basis.
· Work very closely with the Real Estate, IT and Operations teams from project start to end.
· Performing on-site hardware and software support during system deployment.
· Leading large teams through setup and configuration of hardware, software, and robotics systems.
· Managing onsite relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation of the system.
· Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings.
· Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a talented team.
· Familiarity with fast growing companies and the associated deadlines and high-energy culture that goes along with launching new products and systems
· Ability to understand Operational processes.
· Proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of large scale, complex projects.
· Flexibility to travel up to ~85% across projects in Europe.
· Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, and related software.
· Fluency in English required. A plus is speaking other EU languages and specifically the local language of French and/or Spanish.
