We are now recruiting an exceptional Device associate with a strong passion for testing capabilities on devices. As a device associate , you will partner with software teams within Amazon and 3P(Third Partners) and product owners to build and expand our testing coverage on devices such as Televisions and set up boxes. You will continuously raise the bar for test practices, execute test plans and maintain regression suites for complex distributed systems.
· You successfully test large, more complicated components and/or sets of features contributing to overall product quality improvement.
· You perform impact analysis and highlight defects that may have a significant impact on milestone exit criteria[1] in test cycles.
· You conduct product release retrospectives. You analyze beta defects, customer tickets, etc. and engage with relevant teams to identify test coverage gaps and recommend fixes. You make sure fixes are implemented.
· You evaluate and leverage existing SOPs for use in new product-line test requests. You create documentation and training to help your team execute.
· You streamline existing/new processes with the intent to improve operational efficiency or eliminate non-value add (e.g., dependencies) in the test process chain.
· You work on time sensitive tasks in the absence of preset work instructions or with limited artifacts.
· You are able to review and triage defects raised by your team. You perform defect trend analysis at release level and work with your manager to create an action plan to improve product quality.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· University degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience.
Experience in High-level test strategy is defined while the SOPs and the standard test methods or processes may not be. Trusted with more autonomy.

Experience in executing test cases and acts as a point of contact for large, more complicated components, major feature or a set of features.

Optimizes procedures and helps drive adoption.

Experience in performing defect analysis, contributes to test suite improvements, and ensures test cases align to projects and are maintained without discrepancies. Escalates issues when appropriate.
Experience in evaluating the relevance of existing processes and drives test and quality improvement initiatives.

Prior exposure and experience in Performing release retrospectives and sets appropriate action plans and in contributing to identification and adoption of new tools or processes.

Experience in procurement of appropriate accessories to enable and improve DA efficiency.
Experience of owning quality of all assigned component/feature test cases handled by their team and in owning defect quality and performing root cause analysis, drives defect resolution, and prioritization.
Working knowledge of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and application of appropriate testing methodologies.
Experience in understanding how to test a product to contribute to the overall program and product launch. Prior demonstration of domain expertise across majority of components or features of a product. .
3-5 years of previous experience and training with regard to specific testing skills pertinent to this job.
