DESCRIPTION

With the growth and expansion of the Prime Now business, specifically in the grocery delivery/pickup space, we are seeking an exceptionally talented BI Engineer to join the team to support all aspects of demand forecasting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our current process while pursuing automation projects, forecasting accuracy improvements and reporting. This will involve working with cross functional teams across business, operations, marketing, finance, and external partners. You will have the opportunity to drive new processes and implement scalable solutions/tools that will improve accuracy and efficiency, and grow with our business. This is a highly visible role with direct, ongoing impact to the P&L and Prime Now customer experience.

This is an exciting opportunity with a high level of autonomy to explore analytical opportunities/applications, automation/process improvement, and tool development. You will be part of a high-functioning, fast-moving team responsible for delivering on strategic goals with direct impact for our customers

The successful candidate will:
· Dive deep into demand data and identify trends and overrides to support our current process.
· Develop queries and Tableau visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
· Lead the development of key tools to automate demand planning processes and improve efficiency/accuracy.
· Partner with data and software engineering teams to drive scalable implementations.
· Develop and improve demand planning methodologies and processes to improve forecast accuracy, customer experience, and labor efficiency.
· Partner with program management, marketing, operations, and finance to analyze historical data and incorporate various initiatives and impact into demand planning process.
· Partner closely with product management and engineering to scope requirements and prioritize product features as needed to support strategic objectives for the demand planning function.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or related field.
· 4+ years of direct experience in business intelligence, quantitative research or analyses.
· Proficiency with data querying or modeling technique with SQL.
· Proficiency with a scripting language (Java, Python, or R).
· Experience with Statistics.
· Advanced Excel skills.
· Some program/project management experience preferred.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Ability to structure data analysis to support business objectives.
· Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action.
