Interested in robotics and cloud services? Our team provides customers with the tools and services they need to build, test (simulate), deploy, and manage intelligent robotics applications at scale. We launched AWS RoboMaker at re:Invent'18, building upon the most widely used open-source software framework for robotics, Robot Operating System (ROS). Using AWS services, robots and autonomous systems are no longer limited by onboard resources for computation, memory, or software. We are looking for a passionate Principal Solutions Architect to help us grow cutting edge new technologies to enable cloud robotics.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate:
· Deep technical skill in simulation and software architecture
· Design Customer Solutions - Collaborate with the wider Amazon teams to help customers and partners architect solutions that leverage Amazon Services
· Customer facing skills allowing them to represent Amazon in discussions with senior personnel
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solutions to business, product, and technical challenges.
· Devise Strategy - Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers Professional Services and Partners to define an Engagement strategy for operational territories and key accounts.
· Awareness of technology trends and how they impact businesses
· Thought Leadership - Provide thought leadership on solutions that benefit customers through the use of Amazon services. This takes the form of contribution to external publications such as the whitepapers and reference architectures
· Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide Amazon solution architect community
· Understand Amazon market segments, and industry verticals.
· Understand and exploit the use of internal business support systems.
To be successful in this role, you must have the aptitude to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 15+ years of experience in the design and implementation of complex solutions
· Experience in different systems, simulations and infrastructure
· Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
· Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with CTOs, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and developers
· Strong written communication skills
· High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
· Advanced Degree (Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience
· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
