DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a strategic and results-driven business development leader based in our New York office. With its network of over 100,000 publishers, the Amazon Associates program is a global leader in online marketing and one of the largest paid advertising channels for Amazon. As a business development leader, you will build upon the success of our comScore 5000 media partnerships to develop opportunities for new markets and channels. You will develop cross border opportunities originating from our US partners to support Amazon's growing ecommerce businesses in Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Within the US you will extend the Associates' footprint beyond media and explore opportunities within new channels to market Amazon's strategic businesses and drive customer acquisition and engagement. You possess exceptional relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our customer. You are collaborative and drive results and are able to influence a diverse set of stakeholders. You will pursue, negotiate, structure and close complex agreements with top-tier prospects, leveraging Amazon's Associates Program technology and tools.
The right person will manage the new business from end-to-end, including understanding market dynamics, evaluating new partnership opportunities, conducting partner outreach, negotiating term sheets and agreements and driving to execution. You are a builder and will own the execution of these partnerships, establishing best practices for incubating new partnerships, troubleshooting partner issues, and improving partner performance. You will leverage your deep expertise in digital media to guide partners on optimal integrations. Your success will require close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams including international business teams, Product and Tech. You demonstrate the ability to think strategically about issues, identify trends and effectively influence internal stakeholders such as Finance and Legal by earning trust and being right a lot.
Responsibilities:
• Extend successful partnerships globally by identifying and prioritizing opportunities, designing a successful pitch strategy, structuring deal terms to maximize impact and aligning all stakeholders
• Close high impact partnerships driving sales, profitability and strategic outcomes for Amazon businesses
• Own team goals for revenue, profitability and strategic actions
• Lead cross-functional deal teams and present deals to executive management
• Provide an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions
• Collaborate with Product and Tech on innovation and testing of new ad products for the market

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree
· 12+ years of experiences in media and/or technology, with recent management and leadership experience
· Proven track record in business development
· Experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements and data driven decision making
· Creative thinker; ability to apply market and consumer dynamics to our evolving business
· Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies.
· Strong attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and high degree of comfort in presenting business issues to senior leadership
· Sharp strategic acumen and ability to manage ambiguity
