Principal, AWS Global AI/ML Public Policy

DESCRIÇÃO

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading provider of cloud computing services, providing IT infrastructure offerings such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services and more. We are looking for a talented, innovative, and well-connected individual to be responsible for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) public policy issue tracking and engagement in priority international organizations including: World Economic Forum, the OECD (AI Observatory), the G7/G20, and the Global Partnership on AI.

You will become familiar with all aspects of AWS’s AI/ML business, interface directly with relevant business units and technology and services teams at AWS, and address risks and advance opportunities for the business through your advocacy and policy work.

Reporting to the Director, AWS Global AI/ML and Canada Public Policy, you will work with a dedicated and talented team of people to achieve important business goals. You will work directly with regional Public Policy colleagues, business leaders, support teams, and customers to develop and execute effective government affairs and public policy advocacy strategies to protect and advance our interests before key international organizations.

You will achieve goals using a variety of tactics including direct lobbying, facilitating high-level meetings between AWS executives and key stakeholders, managing consultants, working through trade associations, building coalitions, and more.

The position will be based in Ottawa, ON.
