Job description

DESCRIPTION

We're working on the future. If you are seeking an iterative fast-paced environment where you can drive innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve extreme-scale real world challenges, and provide visible benefit to end-users, this is your opportunity.

Come work on the Amazon WW Fulfillment Design & Engineering Team!

We're looking for an outstanding Principal Acoustics Noise/Vibration/Harness (NVH) Engineer, someone who innovates, loves solving hard problems, and never takes “no” for an answer. You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!

The primary role of the WW Fulfillment Design & Engineering team is to drive strategic hardware and solutions development programs designed to improve the acoustic environments of our fulfillment network buildings throughout the world. Lead projects from the early investigative / inception phases through the architectural design phase, then oversee those projects through implementation. Develop monitoring methods and mechanisms to ensure compliance to standards.

A successful candidate will have broad experience and deep technical skills in Acoustics Engineering. He/she will have a strong track record managing complex projects which include a high degree of ambiguity. He/she will work successfully across multiple large engineering and operations teams at a strategic level, at a deep engineering level, and at an implementation level.

Responsibilities include:
1. Identify, promote and lead efforts to obtain approval for new, strategic initiatives and programs related to understanding and reducing the acoustic signatures of our fulfillment buildings.
2. Lead strategic, trans-organizational initiatives to explore new acoustic abatement technologies and methods.
3. Define objective acoustic performance targets.
4. Research, employ, train, maintain noise related analytical tools, methods and processes.
4. Cross-pollinate best practices between engineering and operations teams.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
