Amazon Imaging is looking for a dynamic photographer with a deep portfolio to work in our high-volume digital photography studio and focused on editorial. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and accomplished working with both video and still photography, have proven success working across all imaging categories, and demonstrate the ability to raise the creative bar through commercially relevant imagery. The ability to work within and across large, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an implicit understanding of the balance needed between artistry, communication, and partnership. This person will bring innovation to high-volume photographic workflows, reducing the operational cost while improving the quality of imagery produced.

RESPONSIBILITIES * Execute high-quality digital photography for multiple categories used on Amazon's worldwide websites * Maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity * May serve as lead photographer on projects involving set building or location photography * Maintain photography style guides for Amazon's photo studios * Continuously improve the studio's workflows and processes * Troubleshoot photography challenges on-set, given knowledge of Amazon's business objectives and visual brand * Use industry experience and expertise to support the expansion of Amazon's worldwide photography capability, and the adoption of new technologies * Partner with Studio Operations team to support merchandise inventory management and ensure loss prevention * Act as primary subject matter expert on all studio production software and analytical tools * Monitor and uphold extremely high safety and quality standards. * Train and mentor junior team members

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in photography or related field * Professional experience in a commercial photography studio * Expert-level proficiency with the industry-standard software tools, such as Photoshop and Capture One Pro * Proficiency with basic scripting and color management practices * Professional photography portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of digital photography, including lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics * Proficient working knowledge of still and moving imaging software for Mac and PC platforms * Accustomed to the high intensity level of an e-commerce studio environment * Strong understanding of commercial studio workflow * Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines * An obsession for delighting customers * Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal)
