DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for an outstanding, highly motivated Fulfillment Center Packaging Technician to join our Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) team in the North American Fulfillment Network. This individual will become a part of Amazon’s Sustainability team, working to reduce packaging waste and minimize air shipped.

This position is responsible for packaging testing in accordance with ISTA-6 Guidelines, recording test data using the CPEX FC Testing UI while ensuring data accuracy, and auditing quality of test submissions. This role will also provide guidance to testers reporting through fulfillment centers and will coordinate with FC leadership and CPEX to communicate updates and maximize testing quality and volume. This role will also serve as a CPEX point of contact for FC outbound pack associates and managers, who may have questions about CPEX’s portfolio of programs.

The successful candidate is a highly organized individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and experience in fulfillment center quality and preferably SIOC testing. We are looking for a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and with the ability to work independently.

Shift: Typically 8 hour days on weekdays, timing will depend on current needs of the business

Responsibilities include:
· Maintain and promote the fulfillment center safety standards.
· Travel to various NA FCs within a 3-hour flight range (up to 75% travel required).
· Test and evaluate products/packaging for e-commerce shipping utilizing a simulated transit test method adhering to a specific test volume plan and quality expectation.
· Audit FC tests performed by test associates throughout NA.
· Maintain data integrity with proper use of the CPEX UI.
· Effectively communicate with ROP team, CPEX Lab and FC leadership.
· Provide feedback to CPEX from FC visits.
· Meet with manager on a bi-weekly basis to discuss performance and development.
· Manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously.
· Support OB FC operations with communication and training related to pack compliance, SIOC hotkey, box suite optimization rollout, and other operations engagements.
· Support packaging launch activities in multiple FCs across the network.

· Monitor and, when necessary, deep dive FC process performance, providing feedback to CPEX and operations leadership.

Position to be based in the United States.

Relocation not available for this role. Start date is within 30 days.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word).
· 1+ years of FC Pack, Pick, Stow, Receive, ISS, or ICQA experience as a Tier III.

· At least one year of experience working in a fulfillment center.
· Able to work 40+ hours a week.
· Able to interact with teams in person and remotely in multiple locations.
· Proven analytical skills and highly comfortable with numbers.
· Able to lift up to 45lbs and team lift 50 -100+ lbs.
· Reliable transportation.
· Willing to travel to different Amazon fulfillment locations within a 30 mile radius.
· Basic computer skills.
