The Alexa AI team is looking for a Machine Learning (ML) Data Associate to join our data engineering team in the area of speech and language data processing. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills and language technology experience to help us measure, analyze and solve complex problems. In this role, you will support a range of ML data collection efforts, monitor accuracy and throughput standards, and be a key member in new feature development.

Specifically, the ML Data Associate will:
· Work with management on adapting transcription and annotation guidelines for different languages
· Provide hands-on transcription and annotation services
· Translate established guidelines into daily work practices
· Work with management on workload scheduling and deliverables
· Collaborate with Language Engineers in data collection and feature design efforts

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ yrs. experience working with language data
· Working knowledge of one or more concepts related to testing ML data
· Working knowledge with ML data workflows, data collection, and analyzing results
· Native fluency in Japanese language
