Amazon, is seeking bright, adaptable, and hardworking applicants to work at our Warehouses across India.IT Support Engineers work with Amazon teams to provide and support the IT equipment and services they need. We treat Amazon employees as our customers and provide timely, accurate, and professional support. A successful IT Support Engineer excels in a fast-paced, team environment and possesses excellent communication skills. They have a high degree of technical aptitude over a large scope of IT software, hardware, and networking disciplines.
They also support networking and local server resources for their site.
Regular activities include supporting Microsoft Windows (server and desktop), Linux (server and desktop), network troubleshooting, AV/VC support, assisting central support with chat and/or phone support, project management, mentorship of junior technicians, systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments, telecom administration, and hardware procurement.
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of relevant exp
3+ years' hands-on IT Support experience in a production environment.
3+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Windows (server and desktop), Linux (server and desktop),
Experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
Experience in RF / wireless / wired scanners, Different type of printers, Wireless access points etc
Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.
Advanced Troubleshooting skills in a multi-user high pressure environment
Experience with Cisco based networking technologies developed around Meraki products
Experience with Mist access points and applicable infrastructure
Experience in project management with focuses on virtualization, automation, & current system improvement
Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
Experience communicating verbally and in writing with peers, management, contractors and vendors
Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
On call responsibilities when required
Strong communications skills
Experience dealing with customers and on bridge calls during problem resolution and operating efficiently within tight deadlines.
