Finance Analyst Intern to Support Amazon Devices
Amazon is seeking data-driven, business-minded, results-oriented Financial Analyst interns to work in our corporate offices in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg supporting the Kindle division. Amazon is looking for candidates who are bachelor's-degree students in economics, finance, mathematics, accounting or a related field with a strong desire to exceed expectations.

The ideal candidate is a proven self-starter with strong analytical skills, has an ability to dive deep, summarize and communicate important data. Exceptional interpersonal skills, persuasive written and oral communication, understanding of finance & accounting concepts, and a strong working knowledge of MS-Excel are required. Solid organizational and project-management skills are also a must

Internship Length: 6 Months
Start Date: June 2017

Position Description
We're looking for smart, ambitious, individuals to support the Kindle across Amazon EU businesses in Germany, UK, France, Italy, and Spain. The key goal for this role is to help deliver robust, structured reporting, processes and metrics that are well understood and well communicated throughout the organization. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity driven by new country launches and acquisitions make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, driving performance, and help building plans for the future. The role is very broad based and will require an individual who has an eye for details and is good at communicating across functional teams.

Typical responsibilities include:
1. Producing meaningful operational metrics to help drive performance and achieve business objectives.
2. Preparation and reporting of financial performance for weekly, monthly, and annual reviews
3. Review and reconcile financial agreements, ensure that accurate information is entered into various reporting tools.
4.Support all members of finance team to drive best practices.
5. Identify and communicate issues and areas for improvement to Finance Managers and make recommendations which processes should be improved or optimized.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Experience:
1. You enjoy learning by doing.
2. You are an advanced Excel user, very comfortable with software and tools. You like playing with numbers and building analytical models. Programming experience is a strong plus.
3. You have very high attention to details and you like to structure and organize things so that they make sense. People call you “perfectionist” and you are proud of that. You see things through to the end, iron out the wrinkles and ensure everything works well.

Basic Qualifications

1. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, accounting or related field.
2. You are fluent in English
3. Must be able to work 40 hours a week throughout course of the 6-month internship due to start early January 2017.
