Position Title: Hardware Development Engineer III
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Responsibilities:
Participate in bringing new streaming media designs from concept, development and validation through to manufacturing advice. Work closely with multi-disciplinary groups including Product Management, Product Design, Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Reliability and Operations, to drive key aspects of engineering of consumer electronics products. Perform analysis and testing of complex video architecture using advanced simulation and experimentation tools and techniques. Apply a solid understanding of video codes, SoC multi-media designs, and system implications of implementing complex video systems. Evaluate SoC fitness for multi-media designs. Analyze video and system performance and video quality. Architect system hardware that meets performance, quality, and compliance goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or as a Video Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Optical Design Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related field, and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and two years of experience. Two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation must involve: developing and delivering a video sub-system into computer electronics products; developing SoC based video subsystems; Dfx Design for cost, test, manufacturing; building an understanding of video standards using CODECS and HDMI; using hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyzer, or soldering skills.
