DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Softlines team (Amazon's Fashion business). Amazon Fashion's business is a dynamic, fast growing business and a key strategic focus areas for the company. We need bright, talented people to help us fulfill our mission of making Amazon fashion the premier online fashion destination.
The role entails full ownership of the P&L Account and Balance Sheet of the division you will be supporting. You will partner closely with the retail team, finance and other business groups, to support and monitor the consumer business' strategic, financial and operational plans. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, driving performance, and help building plans for the future. The role is broad based and will require an individual who has an eye for details and is good at communicating across functional teams.

Role Responsibilities:
· Be the Finance Partner for the UK Fashion and EU Strategic Brands Retail teams to drive financial and operational performance of EU Softlines.
· Analysing and explaining current and historic performance, providing effective commercial business challenge to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are achieved or exceeded and actions defined that impact future delivery/performance
· Deal with a broad scope of tasks (e.g. business case modelling, ad hoc analyses of business drivers), and establish strong relationships with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization located across EU (local business leaders, Pan-EU teams, senior management, finance management.)
· Delivering consistent accuracy in predicting performance. Drive the forecasting and planning processes.
· Finance controllership of the Shoes & Apparel business units and continuous development of efficient reporting tools to support decision-making.
· Providing analytical support such as the evaluation of business proposals, and driving ad-hoc cross-functional projects
· Be prepared to support other Softlines business units on an ad hoc or project basis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
· A strong academic background
· A Finance or Accountancy qualification is preferred, an MBA may be considered
· Experience in financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and the management of related tasks (e.g. budget planning, strategic planning, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, business cases modelling, etc.)
· Robust analytical & modelling skills required.
· Advanced Excel required, with VBA skills preferred
· The ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes.
· The ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
· The ability to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively with strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Results-oriented, highly energetic, detail-oriented, & dynamic individual with hands-on mentality
