DESCRIPTION

Amazon.com is seeking a bright, composed, customer-obsessed and motivated Executive Assistant to join our International Consumer Organization in Seattle, WA and support Amazon's Vice President of International Retail. While focused on supporting our VP within International Retail, the role has involvement and impact across all of Amazon- from Retail, to Operations, Physical Stores, Kindle, and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Administrative Professional who has worked in a global work environment, and has successfully been able to deliver on complex initiatives autonomously. They will be a proactive, detail oriented and experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to communicate and respond effectively- while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and most importantly grace under pressure within in a fast-paced, goal-focused, and highly distributed team work environment.

Finally, the ideal candidate will be someone who wants to build a deep, trusting, and long-term partnership with our VP; and is excited about the opportunity to build and scale a high functioning global organization. Over time they will have the opportunity to make a wide range of unsupervised decisions to drive the organization into new heights, which will create and burnish the reputation of the International Retail business, and be a key facilitator in driving overall organization productivity, efficiency, atmosphere and good will.

Primary Responsibilities (70-80%):
- Complex Calendar Management for our VP & scheduling requirements for the leadership team
- Ownership of the business' annual calendar or Rhythm of the Business calendar
- Management & coordination of individual and group travel requirements to multiple international locations
- Event planning for staff meetings, business planning meetings, off-sites, all-hands, and/or external facing events
- Expenses, budget management, headcount tracking, and org chart management
- Communication Management (internal communications and announcements, presentation edits, internal & external email communications, etc.).
- Independent problem solving & ownership for administrative issues/ escalations business-wide

Additional Responsibilities (20-30%):
- Project Management (meeting agendas, tracking key deliverables and action items, reporting, maintain operational metrics or KPIs for the business, change management, create & implement office processes & procedures, etc.)
- Employee Morale (team events, org-wide events, celebrations, etc.)
- May assist with interviewing, training, or mentoring of additional hires
- Relationship management of Global Stakeholders

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of One-on-One support experience at the Executive level (complex calendar management, meeting coordination, travel coordination, etc.)
· 3+ years of Business Operations/Project Coordination Experience (Rhythm of the Business management, Space Panning/Space Management, Budgeting, Process Creation & Improvement, etc.).
· 3+ years of advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Word)
· 2+ years of global or international corporate experience (coordinating meetings across several global/ international time zones, international/ global travel coordination, event planning with a global/ international scope, working with stakeholders from diverse cultural background, etc.)
· HS Diploma or AA Degree
