DESCRIPTION
Would you like to be part of a public policy team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS*) and cloud computing at EU level? Do you want to help build a world-class public policy function? Do you want to play an instrumental role in shaping our communications to government and other key stakeholders? Are you able to help support the administrative needs of the team?
AWS is looking for a creative, high-judgement, detail-oriented, smart, ambitious individual to join AWS's Public Policy department based in Brussels. If you're a person who loves fast-paced business action, has attention to detail, works well across different business and legal groups and is able to multitask, AWS is looking for you!
Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, helping drive performance and build plans for the future. The role is very broad and will require an individual who has an eye for details and is good at communicating across functional teams.
This is a 12-month internship aimed at recent University graduates with some previous work experience.

· Providing support for AWS's policy position development on policy issues such as cybersecurity and privacy, including policy monitoring and research.
· Assisting with updating and helping implement an engagement plan with European Institutions and Authorities.
· Scheduling and preparing documents for meetings with policy-makers and other relevant stakeholders.
· Supporting the Public Policy team in working with AWS's business teams to ensure alignment between business and policy goals.
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· University degree in Law or Politics
· Fluent in English
· Internship, or other experience in a professional environment, with an emphasis on and demonstrated interest in public policy and government relations work
· A passion for technology and an interest in growing a successful career in a public policy environment
· A keen understanding of the EU legislative and regulatory policy process as well as the technology industry
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience creating and effectively delivering factual, relevant, and easily understandable talking points and other messaging
· Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity
· Advanced knowledge of Internet search and Office applications
· Outstanding attention to detail
· Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
· Exceptional research skills, including ability to identify sources of information and data points
· Strong analytical skills, including ability to dive deep and understand how legislative and regulatory proposals may impact AWS business
