Amazon is looking for an experienced and accomplished Digital Photography Technician. Successful candidates will be self-starters, strong communicators, very detail-oriented and have a passion for photography with a portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency in digital image maniuplation. The Digital Photography Technician will be responsible for metrics related to image quality and production, engaging with senior members of the imaging staff, clients, and internal customers to ensure the highest technical standards are maintained. The incumbent will bring efficiency and innovation to high volume photographic workflows through advanced computer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive high-volume work in one or more post production processes including but not limited to: video editing, image retouch, and design; ultimately owns the technical quality of the final output
· Catalog, name, crop, color manage, and, when necessary, spot retouch a high volume of image assets under tight deadlines
· Execute on business metrics such as: image coverage, image quality, and studio throughput, by performing quality assurance, contact resolution, and developing new processes
· Pilot new processes and initiatives and provide feedback to ensure successful implementation
· Look for process improvement opportunities to streamline, increase productivity, or reduce defects; define and implement projects to address those needs
· Coordinate with software development team to implement continual system innovations
· Coordinate with photographers and other digital technicians to identify existing process roadblocks and improvement opportunities
· Utilize appropriate digital asset management techniques to track products between photography bays
· Ensure Imaging standards are maintained

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with Powershell or other scripting languages, Capture One, i1 Profiler, Canon Photographic/Video equipment, EOS Utility, and Automated Photography Technologies
· Familiarity with Windows networking protocols, including scripting capabilities, task automation, S3 Clients, and metadata standards and utilization
· Accustomed to the intensity of the studio environment, and unshrinking under deadline pressure
· An obsession for delighting customers
· Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
· Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photography or related field required
· Professional experience as a retoucher, photo assistant, or digital technician in a commercial photography studio
· Strong experience with Capture One, Photoshop, Bridge, EOS Utility, Windows environments, and server organization
· Strong understanding of color profile management policies and best practices, including the ability to color shift and manage multiple peripheral devices
· Technology experience with the PC platform
· Experience with digital asset and file management and standards
· Ability to be on set and assist with product photography shoots on an as needed basis
· Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
· Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
· Ability to learn and master proprietary internal tools
· Excellent English proficiency (verbal, written and presentation skills)
· Portfolio required for consideration with commercial and product photography samples included
