We are looking for a talented attorney to support our consumer cloud storage business, including Amazon Drive and Prime Photos, in our rapidly growing and evolving company. You will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for counseling the business team on a broad range of product, commercial, technology, privacy, and regulatory matters, as well as structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial transactions. You will work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

Principal duties include providing ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of legal areas, including intellectual property, software, privacy, and product compliance, as well as drafting and negotiating strategic commercial agreements.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong academic credentials including a J.D. degree and membership in one state bar is required
· 5+ years of legal experience as a transactional legal counsel, including some experience leading transactions as principal legal counsel
· 3+ years experience in a top national or international law firm is required
· Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
· Common sense and great judgment
