Amazon's Digital and Device Customer Service team creates and manages content that helps our customers enjoy a wide range of products, including Fire tablets and Kindle E-readers, as well as digital media services like Amazon Music and Amazon Video. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on content developer for a 12 month contract, with online content experience to join our team. In this role, you'll create, localize, publish, and maintain online support content, and help drive strategy with our global Knowledge Management team.

Your role
· Develop and localize content in the style and voice of Amazon, using sophisticated content management and web publishing tools
· Optimize the discoverability of content on search engines, Amazon site search, and through the content management system
· Use a combination of data analysis, user research, benchmarking, and content audits to identify high-impact opportunities for improving content
· Perform frequent and rigorous quality assurance checks on published content
· Find ways to improve content usability, governance and reuse
· Work on several complex projects simultaneously
· Use sound business judgment to make quick decisions under pressure in ambiguous circumstances

Your background
You're a seasoned professional with 3-5 years of experience working with online content. To excel in this role, you are comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You're a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for excellent customer service, and an interest in technology and Amazon's digital products and services. Both your verbal and written communication skills are excellent. You can demonstrate successful experience in planning, prioritization, research and delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Fluency in English, with exceptional writing skills
· 3-5 years of relevant professional experience working with online content
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as journalism, digital media, or communications
· Demonstrated technical proficiency with tools and complex workflows, such as content management systems
· Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
