Amazon has been successfully building a large and growing marketplace in India focused on meeting Indian consumers' needs nationally. Amazon would like to build on this by developing and selling its own brands of Private Label products. The Amazon India team is looking for an experienced, results-driven and creative Category Manager to manage the Private Brands product portfolio.

The Category Manager is expected to manage recently launched categories, use customer and ­category insight to improve customer experience and other facets of the business, provide inputs on entry into new categories, drive projects with cross-functional teams, and help refine processes to grow the business.

We are looking for someone to develop a healthy obsession with understanding the Amazon India marketplace and act as a business owner to lead growth on the platform. Primary responsibilities include:
· Developing a thorough understanding of the market segment, global trends/events, price movements, and competitor efforts
· Owning and managing a portfolio of private label products while driving pricing, in-stock, demand generation and a top-notch customer experience
· Collaborating with and influencing a number of internal and external stakeholders such as supply chain, marketing, sellers and category teams
· Driving product discovery, strategic and tactical pricing decisions, promotions, deals and other marketing/merchandising efforts
· Managing stock and inventory across product categories and coordinating with seller and supplier teams to make good in-stock decisions
· Tracking quality through reviews, returns etc., scheduling interventions, and providing inputs to Product Marketing team in order to maintain highest quality standards

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA in Marketing, Strategy or a related field
· 3+ years of relevant work experience in category management, supply chain, or related fields
· Experience using metrics to drive business decisions
· Proficient in Excel and experience with other data analysis tools (SQL)
· Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail
