The Role:
As senior CAD engineer you will be responsible for installing and maintaining the RF and digital CAD environments for project Kuiper IC design teams. This is an opportunity to define the CAD environment and design flow of a new project from day one. You will advise on tools selection, and interface with various EDA tool vendors and foundries to run the EDA tools, PDKs and other files necessary for the Silicon development team to operate efficiently. You will be responsible for defining and creating a unified environment that sets the versions of the tools, PDK and design for every individual chip in development.

Additionally, you will interact with the various Silicon development teams who will be requesting newer versions of the tools, and raise trouble tickets with CAD vendors as needed. In this role you will be following up with the vendors on the status of the releases, install them on our server and have it spot tested before release to Engineering.

In this role, you will also download, install and maintain various versions of the intellectual property cores used in the SOC.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
. 7+ years of experience
· Experience with silicon development cycle and tools, mixed signal, digital, and RF
· Experience with scripting and working in UNIX environment
