Business Technology & Solutions (BTS) is a diverse team that enables AWS to be the world's most efficient and effective selling organization. We deliver innovative solutions that capture, enrich, and establish an authoritative source for customer information, and provide actionable insights and an improved customer experience through our tools, technology and processes.

The BTS team is looking for an analyst to proactively improve and extend our usage of project and portfolio management tools, such as Smartsheet and Excel, being the expert of these tools and our business use cases.
This position will be responsible for leading the functional design, configuration and support of the Smartsheet application, as well as administering and supporting the tool. Core activities will include analyzing business requirements and forming recommendations to implement, configure, enhance, or integrate systems, executing those recommendations and supporting the resulting solution.

Primary Responsibilities:

Smartsheet Administration
· User administration and new user onboarding.
· Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards.
· Provision new projects as needed, and archive old projects regularly.
· Work with business customers and Smartsheet vendor to research, document and resolve system issues.
· Promote data accuracy and integrity through exception reports and automated inquiries to data owners.
· Create or contribute to business requirements documents, user training documents and implementation documentation as necessary. Create and maintain documentation on the business processes and solution designs, including the rationale behind the solutions.
Reporting
· Using Smartsheet capabilities, create and update reports and dashboards.
· Using internal tools, export reports on a consistent schedule. Partner with technical resources to continually improve automation of data manipulation.
Create efficiency by designing and implementing changes to existing mechanisms and leveraging new features and integrating new tools.
· Interact with business customers to understand and document the users' goals and objectives, identify success criteria, and ensure cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners.
· Partner with Portfolio Managers and other key stakeholders in assessing functionality, approaches, processes, methodology and techniques to improve efficiency.
· Hands-on configuration of the tool: creating and updating columns, templates, forms, workflows, blueprints, reports and dashboards.
· Manage the integration of other third party tools.

Primary owner of Smartsheet usage norms
· Establish norms and best practices for Smartsheet usage, aligned with business need and security requirements.
· Consult with users on their use cases and advise on best practices. Mentor “power users” across the organization, actively sharing knowledge to develop in-house expertise.
· Understand the business need to anticipate how the tool must be reconfigured to scale with the organization's needs.
· Partner with Smartsheet vendor in delivering feature requests needed to support use cases and understand upcoming feature releases so they can be implement and used to benefit teams.

Assist with minor changes to Sharepoint intranet when needed.
Quickly learn new tools and technologies as needed.
Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to guide stakeholders toward an objective.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's in Business, Computer Science or other degree
· 5+ years' experience administering, configuring and supporting various end user tools.
· Proficient in writing basic SQL queries or using reporting tools to research data anomalies or gather historical data in order to analyze problems or trends.
