Job description

DESCRIPTION

Do you love making sense out of data? Do you want to drive change on a global scale? Do you enjoy designing and building data products?

Join the Student Programs (SP) Data Science team to help us design business intelligence solutions for Recruiting Teams across the globe. The Student Program team is responsible for hiring the best student talent from all backgrounds to build the future of Amazon's global workforce. The data science team's job is to equip our recruiting teams and partners with data and insights on the addressable marketplace of talent, the global hiring demand projections, and process efficiency gains.
Here at Amazon everyone plays a role in recruiting and therefore, our solutions are designed to meet the need of different customers from around the world. Your goal is to gather and consolidate disparate requirements into a unified solution that enables data-driven recruiting strategy, interview scheduling, and headcount planning decisions while delivering a frustration-free candidate experience. You will be imbedded directly with your customers in Student Programs and working in an agile environment to deliver products with immediate impact.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, we need your help to build the self-service tools. BUT you are joining at just the right time as we are transitioning to new innovative AWS products (e.g. S3, Redshift, QuickSight) that make accessing, transforming and visualizing data so much easier.
You have an opportunity to build products that impact thousands of hiring managers across all of Amazon. You will solve complex analytical problems. And you won't be alone. Our SP team includes other engineers and analysts— all of whom will be partners for you in realizing our vision and enabling the growth at Amazon that's critical for our customers. You're just right for this role because you like diving into data, learning new tools and having a global impact!

Other Responsibilities:
· Develop Capacity Planning Models to support global hiring
· Develop Data Visualizations and Self-Services tools in AWS Quicksight
· Writes SQL to Extract and Transform Data from Databases
· Develop ETLs to automate data integrations from internal and external HR systems
· Interacts directly with customers, understands their questions and needs and translates into analytical requirements.
