Prime Now is Amazon's newest benefit for Prime members, which offers one-hour delivery on tens of thousands of daily essentials through a new mobile app. Prime Now is powered by Amazon's growing network of fulfillment centers and transportation technology that utilize high-end technology to speed up order delivery times for customers. Now, Prime members can skip a trip to the store by shopping on the Prime Now app for products like paper towels, shampoo, books, toys and batteries with orders delivered right to their door in an hour or less. This is an early stage initiative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside Amazon. To be successful you need to be flexible and entrepreneurial.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:
* You collaborate across the organization to develop best practices for your function and advocate for improvements in enterprise-wide tools, working particularly closely with the Prime Now business intelligence and engineering teams
* You develop expertise in a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use
* You encourage the organization to adopt next-generation data architecture strategies, proposing both data flows and storage solutions
* You are comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts, iterate and improve
* You create extensible designs and easy to maintain solutions with the long term vision in mind
* You have an understanding and empathy for business objectives, and continually align your work with those objectives and seek to deliver business value. You listen effectively.
* You are comfortable presenting your findings to large groups

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience
* Demonstrated experience in relational database concepts with an expert knowledge of SQL
* Demonstrated ability in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing
* Excellent written communication skills
