Business Intelligence Engineer, Transportation

Amazon Transportation Service team is looking for a highly analytical, curious, resourceful, and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer with outstanding leadership skills, proven ability to lead the technical charter on self-service BI platform.

A qualified candidate must have demonstrated the ability to manage medium to large-scale projects with regional or global impact, where partnerships must be developed with multiple teams to access and understand data. In addition to strong Tableau skills, the position requires a solid understanding of data visualization and capability to foster the visual analytical culture across the teams.

Additional responsibilities may include:
· Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Redshift to design, develop, and evaluate analyses and highly innovative business intelligence tools and reporting.
· Managing Tableau Server and lead the Tableau Training events.
· Providing analytical support to improve quality and standard work results
· Root cause research to identify process breakdowns within departments and providing data through use of various skill sets to find solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Science or related edu.
· 3+ years of experience with dashboard building, data visualization, and BI training. (Tableau preferred)
· Experience processing, filtering and presenting large quantities (Over Millions of rows) of data
· Strong focus on internal customers and professional demeanor
· Understanding of INFOSEC data management requirements
· Verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including experience to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
· 3+ years of strong quantitative and qualitative experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering or Business experience.
· Basic development of data models or database schemas.
· Experience with Tableau Server administration.
· Admin experience with a BI reporting platform.
