DESCRIPTION

The EUCF Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team drives performance improvement across the EU FC network by rolling out software tools, by running and coordinating selected cross-functional projects, and by being the primary Operations liaison with other departments including Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), Amazon Robotics (AR), Retail, Vendor Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain and FC Support teams.

We are constantly engaging with new kinds of problems, and use a wide range of tools to reach the right solutions, including AWS Services, dashboards, SQL, Python, Java among others.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will help identify opportunities and implement changes to improve systems, processes, and tools. You will be responsible for modeling and automating complicated problems through the use of data mining, statistical and processing techniques, and for working with a wide range of stakeholders across Amazon. You will work with huge datasets and author automated data flows and pipelines in support of EU FC network metrics and reports.

The ideal candidate is passionate about data and analytics and relishes the challenge of highly complex technical initiatives. He/she has relevant experience with SQL clients, ETL jobs, and dashboard solutions (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight etc.). He/he preferably has hand-on experience with programming languages (i.e. VBA, Python, R, Java etc.), and is familiar with relational databases (i.e. Redshift, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.) The candidate is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, is detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day to day basis.
Key responsibilities:

· Analysis of business requirements and translation into technical requirements
·
· Transform requirements of custom dashboards, metrics and models into to stable products
·
· Ownership and maintenance of deployed solutions
·
· Support and maintenance of EUCF ACES data repositories and ETL jobs
·
· Be the go-to expert in challenging analyses impacting EU FC Operations, influencing and driving the EUCF ACES Tech team's vision and roadmap

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in data visualization platforms e.g., Quicksight and PowerBI
· Experience in analyzing big datasets (100M+ rows)
· Familiarity with optimization, supply chain and logistics concepts gained through work experience or graduate level education
· Familiarity with statistical concepts and advanced statistical techniques e.g., distributions, confidence intervals, time series analysis, regression models

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications
· Significant experience in coding/scripting (python/R/java)
· Proven professional experience in highly analytical roles with proven ability to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
· Degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics, statistics, computer science or other quantitative areas. Master’s degree or higher preferred
· Deep knowledge of SQL to extract and transform data into meaningful analyses and reports
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
· Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
