Dangerous Goods Selection Classification is looking for a motivated self-starter who can work in a fast paced, data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver, have an extremely high level of customer focus and a passion driving improvements to vendor, seller, operations, and customer experience through better data and analysis tools.

As you further your career as a Business Analyst in Dangerous Goods, you will focus on improving Amazons ability to keep the supply chain and customer safe and drive the success of our vendors and sellers on the Amazon platform with expanded product selection and reach. You will analyze data received from suppliers, external data providers, and automated EML classification system data to solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases to improve the efficiency and safety of the Amazon network and provide transformative experiences to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a rock-solid background in data analysis, including experience extracting and manipulating data using SQL, leveraging advanced Excel features for data analysis, and producing digestible business intelligence and actionable information. The candidate should also have strong communication and project management skills, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape analytical deliverables. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally. A keen sense of ownership, bias for action, high standards, and invent and simplify is a must!

In this role you will:
· Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
· Analyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities
· Design new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability
· Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
· 1+ years of professional experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics position
· Advanced working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel
· Demonstrated experience in preparing and executing presentations of technical and business level data
· Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
