DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain IOT team (Inbound Operations Technology) is looking for highly motivated, detail- oriented and talented candidate to be our Business Analyst to support the VCDM (Vendor Chargeback Dispute Management) and VE (Vendor Engagement) teams. Our team strives to reinforce the relationship between Amazon and its vendors by ensuring a quick and proper communication built around every charge back dispute we manage. We look not only to solve each dispute in a balance between Amazon’s policies and vendor’s benefit but also we seek to improve our internal processes to reduce the flow of chargebacks while educating our vendors into an amended experience.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate would have a successful record of solving ambiguous business problems and an appetite for mining patterns in data and summarize them as actionable insights.
The analyst will work with Program Managers to understand analytics requirements and develop solutions.
S/he will build mechanisms to convert underlying data from different sources into meaningful operational and business dashboards with compelling metrics. S/he is comfortable analyzing data to create strategic recommendations in a thoughtful, precise and concise manner and presenting it to peers, stakeholders and senior leaders.

Key responsibilities for this role
· Internalize our business, end-to-end, in order to determine appropriate KPIs and perform analysis to understand the impact of program initiatives
· Understanding drivers, impacts, and key influences in metrics that the Program(s) manages(s).
· Translate basic business problems into actionable analysis requirements.
· Work with partners to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs and build efficient and reliable self-service reports.
· Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards on the key drivers of each program.
· Understand required data, identify where data sets reside, retrieve, analyze and report necessary data from source systems
· Review information from multiple sources to confirm data integrity
· Prepare reports on regular cadences, as well as conduct ad hoc data mining and analysis to drive managerial decisions and focused improvement efforts.
· Derive actionable recommendations from analysis that impact a process or team.
· Proactively identify problems and opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to significant business impact.
· Communicating complex analysis and insights to peers, internal customers and senior leaders, both verbally and in writing.
· Escalate problems as needed.
· Support cross-functional teams on day-to-day execution and long-term expansion of the program(s).
· Conducting deep dives into the existing data sets to come up with insights that are harbinger of new programs impacting key metrics in a significant manner.
· -Manage BA Annual Roadmap, track and report progress to leadership and stakeholders.
· -Manage ad-hoc requests within agreed SLAs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated experience with statistics (correlations, multivariate regressions, causal analysis, etc.)
· Expertise statistical software and methods (e.g., fixed effects, predictive modeling, cluster analysis, time series modeling) a plus
· Advanced experience using Tableau, SQL, ETL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets and Visualization through Tableau

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines
· Experience working in SQL
· Working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel
· Experience working in Data Warehousing systems
· Experience with Python, R, VBA, SQL or other automation-focused languages
· Proven ability to communicate with business and technical audiences at all levels, including demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and decision makers.
· Deep interest in research, data, analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to prioritize and work well in an ambiguous environment with competing demands
· Outstanding attention to detail
· Deep interest in tech mentoring and teaching others.
· Proficient in English, verbal and written.
