Position Overview
The AWS Educate team is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, data-driven, entrepreneurial Program Manager (PM) with a passion for education. This individual will report to the Global Lead, AWS Educate, providing him and the team with necessary operational support, budgeting expertise, and program management. The ideal candidate will be versatile, an exemplary team player, and willing / able to create order out of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience, superior judgment, great follow-through, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The AWS Educate PM will be responsible for organizing and “orchestrating” activities across the team to keep us moving toward our goals and meeting interim benchmarks. The PM will also continue to build out dashboards and update templates to ensure everyone is playing off of the same sheet of music and that the Global Lead and other team members have the data that they need to make decisions. The PM will need to work extensively across the team, especially the Content, Product, Membership, and Business Development teams to capture key activities and ensure that their efforts are properly synchronized. Additionally, the PM will often need to interface with other AWS departments such as Legal, Finance, and Operations.

The successful candidate will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. The PM will work with key members on our team, across the Amazon organization, and directly with educators and students, as appropriate.
· Assist AWS Educate Global Lead in managing priorities
· Manage the AWS Educate budget
· Own the roadmap for the team and ensure adherence to that plan
· Dive deep into available data to understand successes and weaknesses and share with team members to improve results
· Support team members as they need to access resources from across Amazon
· Ensure our global, matrixed team is fully connected to the U.S. office
· Collaborate with marketing team to ensure campaigns are executed and customer presentations and sales enablement materials are developed
· Support/lead the development of important presentations to management or external customers / partners
· Other duties as assigned may include special project management, proposal writing, and data retrieval/management/reporting
· Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Ability to travel in support of team efforts

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years of a combination of business development, operations, and/or program management experience
· 2+ years of working directly for or within education or public sector
· Experience developing programmatic reports and metric management and data analytic experience
· Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing landscape and AWS
