DESCRIPTION

Amazon Associates, also known as Amazon's affiliate marketing program, is one of the largest of its kind. We have a massive range of associates that help customers decide what to purchase from Amazon's vast product selection. The Fraud Prevention and Enforcement team is responsible for managing the applications to the Associates Program, fraud prevention measures, enforcement policies, and assessing general business risk. We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer who has a bias for action while being able to think big about how to protect Amazon from both financial and reputational risks caused by fraudulent activity.

You will be responsible for researching and analyzing data to find areas of risk and patterns of fraud. You will work with our Business, Finance, PM and Investigations team members to create queries, reports and innovative solutions to enable our team to be more effective and efficient. You will partner with business leaders to deliver data and analysis that drive critical decisions that add enormous business value.

You will rely on your solid business judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Your problem-solving and analytical skills will be used to authenticate affiliates, transactions and accounts.

Successful candidates will be self-starters that have a natural curiosity for solving problems and an eye for detecting patterns. You will enjoy working with large data sets and reaching conclusions with high confidence with minimal oversight.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Advanced experience with SQL
* Experience in providing reporting solutions to solve business needs by leveraging data warehouse data
* Experience in Predictive Analytics and Statistics
* Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
* Data modeling skills
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
