UK Programme Manager – Corporate Apprenticeships

The Programme manager is a central member of Amazon's UK apprenticeship management team and plays a key role in managing the apprenticeship programs across corporate teams. In particular, the post holder will ensure the apprenticeship team responds to the need of the company and grows Amazons apprenticeship provision into new vocational areas namely digital and technology routes. The programme manager will be responsible for ensuring Amazon's apprenticeship provision is delivered with success and is audit compliant.
Responsibilities
You will ensure that a positive learning experience is created and delivered. The extent of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
You will be responsible for setting up and delivering apprenticeship programs across all relevant Amazon locations ensuring they meet government priorities as well as our internal targets. You will ensure all schemes meet the needs of the standard, learners and business by working with our preferred providers.
Work with training providers and subject matter experts to design, create and maintain training and learning material bespoke to Amazon
Responsible for selecting providers and end of point assessment organisations to ensure Amazons schemes are developing skilled and bar raising apprentices
Ensure timely completion of all learners, you will be responsible for the quality of the apprenticeship provision in terms of success, retention and progression and for the development and extension of the apprenticeship programs across our UK network
Work in partnership with corporate teams developing and expanding apprenticeship schemes
Manage the LMS platform to track progress and performance of all apprentices and work with line managers to ensure apprentices are at on track and performing to Amazons expectations.
Work with the PR team to build relationships with external organisations to increase awareness and promote Amazon's apprenticeship program
Be an active and influential member representing and promoting Amazon's needs on relevant Trailblazer groups
Create and own the stakeholder communication strategy and plan to ensure all those involved in the successful delivery of Amazon's apprenticeship program are fully informed and supportive of the program's main aims and goals
Create communications for all schemes and manage the wiki /SharePoint so the business has a one stop shop for all scheme details
Compile routine progress reports and report on key metrics and data
Liaison and act as the main focal point for all apprenticeship providers in corporate
Design and execute the apprenticeship on boarding program across corporate
Continually evaluate solutions for quality, business impact, scalability and sustainability. Conduct post-learning evaluation to understand successes and improvement opportunities for the designed solution while establishing methods for ensuring both compliance and quality
Educate managers and mentors on their role in supporting and developing apprentices as an essential part of their jobs.
Responsible for apprentice engagement and steering groups
Travel 30% of time to confirm quality of delivery, advice and brief managers and support those associates on apprenticeship programs
Act as the apprentices champion ensuring, where possible, barriers to success and completion are removed
Scope and develop how Amazon can potentially become its own provider for technical and non-technical apprenticeships
Work in partnership with the operations programme manager to ensure consistency across schemes and a joined up processes for the business.
Work with TA/recruitment to ensure we build a pipeline of talent for all our schemes

The successful candidate will be progressive, hands-on and customer-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving, technical and customer-focused commercial environment. The successful candidate will:
Have programme management experience and evidence of launching new initiatives across multiple teams in a corporate environment.
Have experience in working with external partners to build internal developments
Possess problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing ambiguity and analysing metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans
Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels and across Amazon teams (globally)
Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable, demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence others, possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills and have intellectual curiosity; bring valuable insight into the team/business
Have experience with learning or development programmes in global businesses'
