As the AMZL Academy Instructor at your site, your main mission is to onboard and develop L4-L7 Operations leaders so they learn what good looks like and how to be successful in their station roles. You’ll be close to the action on the delivery station floor training new L4-L7 managers to become strong people leaders with the process skills needed to successfully run and support our growing AMZL network. In this role you will leverage your operations expertise to teach and instruct L4-L7 operators best practices, process paths, and overall station flows both under the roof and on the road. You will also teach virtual process paths, how to use key tools and how to make stay calm and make decisions when under pressure. And how to lead teams of associates. In addition you will manage the weekly cadences to make sure all trainings and evaluations are complete, managing on-site logistics such as scheduling conference rooms, ordering catering, distributing swag, and arranging fun activities for Academy participants. This role is for operators who embrace teaching, hiring and developing the best, and creating an Amazon culture.

The AMZL Academy Instructor is an operational role reporting to the Academy Dean; you will backfill for the Dean and manage the Academy at times as well. You will work closely with Regional Operations Leadership, AMZL Academy team members, AMZL leadership, Field Operations, New Station Launch, Employee Relations, and Training & Development to make sure our Leaders are prepared from Day 1.

Responsibilities
· Support AMZL Academy training programs at site: from needs analysis stage, to management and execution of training.
· Identify gaps in existing learning content and work with network teams to innovate, feeding back needs, and participating in creation and testing of content. Play an integral role in gathering customer feedback on key network training initiatives.
· Take a data driven approach to understanding performance issues. Take action to improve the quality and effectiveness of training and coaching at your site for associates as well as leaders and managers. Build relationships and influence your site leadership team colleagues to address issues that inhibit effective learning.
· Identify any additional training materials and ‘train your trainers’ in new processes/changes to existing processes.
· Delivers in-person training sessions both in classroom & on the floor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· · Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
· Degree in Engineering, Operations or related technical field
· Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple delivery stations across the nation
· Ability to influence leaders at all levels to understand their role in employee development and help build their skills.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A bachelor's degree or equivalent or 1+ years’ amazon operations experience
· Strong communications and facilitation skills
· People management skills with strong Connections scores
· The ability to work in fast-paced ambiguous environments, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities
· Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
· Prior experience on training on AMZL process standards, Lean Six Sigma or Quality tools/techniques (5s)
· Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
· English and Italian fluency
