Alexa is the Amazon cloud service that powers Echo, the groundbreaking Amazon device designed around your voice. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains; we are inventing the future. Alexa runs on first party Amazon devices such as the Echo, Echo dot, Fire Tablets and Fire TV, as well as many other third party hardware devices!

As part of our ongoing expansion and continuous improvement approach, Amazon is hiring a talented professional for a newly created leadership role leading the regional Alexa teams. The Alexa Regional Lead will play a key role in helping to determine the strategic direction of the business and will hold a spectrum of functional responsibilities.
This role will lead the regional Alexa team and own the overall success of Alexa, managing all user endpoints (including Echo Devices, other Amazon Devices and third-party devices) and customer engagement (dialogs) volume and quality. The primary objective is the increase customer adoption of all Alexa products, while driving discoverability and improving the overall customer experience and engagement.
Day-to-day, this leader will directly manage the regional Alexa product experience teams, to define the strategy of the business and to measure and drive customer engagement.
On a strategic level, this leader interacts with global Alexa teams to influence product development via integrated roadmaps and features prioritization.

Key responsibilities include:
· Full end-to-end business ownership, driving regional Alexa downstream impact and life time value,
· Understand customer activity: monitor customer engagement, generate business insights and customer analytics, understand engagement drivers and blockers, sales trends,
· Generate monetization opportunities via upsell, content packs and subscription products,
· Define regional / local features and domains (e.g. not developed globally) that will drive KPIs,
· Prioritize regional / local development roadmaps and ensure execution at the highest standards,
· Work with the regional Go-to-Market and sales teams on the selling and positioning of the devices in the markets,
· Influence regional / local Alexa skills selection and set quality goals,
· Ensure third party devices selection meets customer expectations and monetization targets are achieved,
· Set standards for regional / local Alexa experience teams through editorial, localization and personality.

Profile
The ideal candidate will be a proven people leader with a successful, inventive and hands-on track record of running a business end-to-end. S/he will have a demonstrable record of success at driving a financial P&L, delivering results, partnering cross-functionally, and professionally representing regional customer needs to the global organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong ‘strategic do-er' who balances execution strength with strategic insight. He or she will have a proven history of developing and executing growth strategies and experience in creating and implementing monetization opportunities.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years' experience in product management, with preference in a technical environment. S/he will have a track record in leading large teams with a successful track record as a leader of leaders across tech and non tech as well as influencing other stakeholders.

· 10+ years of professional experience
· 7+ years of product management experience
· 4+ years of experience managing product managers and/or managers.
· Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects
