As Amazon Home Services EHS officer, you will be responsible for partnering with service providers and operations team in order to execute company EHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and Kaizen events, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our technicians. The EHS Officer must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the service provider's operations team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and EHS data analysis

· You must be a Good Communicator – This role involves communicating at all levels across departments, including regular interaction with both colleagues and customers. Good verbal and written communication is therefore a must.
· You must have strong persuasive skills – It is one thing to communicate well, but it is quite another to communicate effectively. When explaining and enforcing EHS policies, strong persuasive skills will perform the best.
· You must have excellent Attention To Detail –You will regularly be required to closely monitor processes and practices in order to ensure best practice across entire organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Analyze safety metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
· Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
· Audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance to global safety standards and local regulations.
· Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
· Manage and mentor Safety Associates in service provider organization.
· Spend time at the service provider site and seek input from Safety teams, Associates and leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.
· Ensure technicians are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training.
· You must possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy. Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon EHS Policies
· You will have to measure the service provider performance against published requirements in safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the provider to implement and fix all identified deficiencies
· You will have to audit record keeping practices and Gensuite entries to ensure compliance to global safety standards and local regulations.
· You will have to audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
· You will lead MSD injury reduction efforts by performing targeted Kaizen events in partnership with the Operations teams based on the risks identified in each task (force, repetition, and awkward postures.
· You will ensure technicians are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery and effectiveness of all required EHS trainings.
· You will review for effectiveness of the deployed EHS tools and revise to ensure continual improvement.
· You will partner with EHS manager to leverage global safety and environmental best practices into FC standards.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety or ME in Industrial Safety Engineering
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
· Experience in reputed private or government organizations
· Experience managing multiple direct reports.
· Must be flexible regarding shifts.
