Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global eCommerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses in fourteen countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, and web services.
The Retail Business Services group is an integral part of Amazon online product life cycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team's primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for an Operations team supporting multiple categories that recruits, onboards, and manages new retail vendors. Works with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category team to ensure the overall health of the processes and priorities.
Duties may include, taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of processes done by others, ensure records are maintained accurately, maintain a high team utilization, mentor and train new team members.
Key Areas:
· Partnering with the Vendor Management Team and managing competing priorities.
· Implement best-in-class processes and practices for maintaining and exceeding productivity, quality and service level agreements.
· Actively manage and continuously improve workflow management to ensure effective use of resources and adherence to service level agreements.
· Provide focused feedback loops for teams based on performance and quality data. Develop and reward strong performers.
· Analyze the key levers of the business to identify trends and proactively take action to improve efficiency and quality.
· Formulate, Implement, Track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the team
· Recruit top-quality employees. Develop employees and their skill sets to expand the team capabilities and provide growth opportunities for future Amazon leaders.
· Metrics Management
· Manage the team and ensure high service delivery and execution
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
· Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish)
· Minimum 1 year directly managing people
· A background (3+ years) in buying, account management, operations, project management, sales and/or marketing.
