Our people are driven by a passion for 'Where next?' If you want to shape your career and the future of travel, Amadeus is the place for you.

Purpose

The Airport Passenger Verification (APV) product is one of the Passenger & Bags solutions within the Amadeus Airport IT application landscape.

APV is used at the airport security checkpoints to scan and validate customer boarding passes. A wide range of checks is performed by the application for security purposes. For example, APV ensures that:

· The customer is in the right terminal the right day/time
· The boarding pass is not been used fraudulently
· The customer is not blacklisted
· The customer is checked in and eligible to board his flight

APV also allows us to track the customer's location in the airport and to improve the customer's experience in the lead up to flight departure, providing early notification of any changes to seat allocation, boarding time/gate etc…

APV currently relies a desktop (web-based) interface which communicates with a dedicated server in the Amadeus datacentre. The subject of this internship is to develop an Angular2 mobile version of the APV application and interface for any android scanner. This would be used by airport staff at different locations throughout the airport to scan a passenger's boarding pass, retrieve his flight data, and perform security checks as done by the desktop version. This mobile application would then communicate with the APV server over HTTPS with either JSON or XML objects.
