Team Description

The SSP-PAY department is focused on Travel Payment!

This is a growing department/area handling development and Product Definition activities for all the back-end part around payment. The department is working in close relationship with the product management teams and provides solutions to airlines, travel agents and beyond (airports) all over the world. This department is aimed at located in Nice, Bangalore, Boston, Madrid and Bogota.

As such, the Amadeus Payment Server is a large scale critical open back end connected to numerous external systems (Payment Service Providers like Paypal, Visa…) and used by many Amadeus applications/front ends via services or payment pages.

We have many on-going projects (EMV payment solutions with physical card reader, integration in mobile applications, new Forms of Payment integration, PCI-DSS solutions for the travel industry…) and therefore work more and more in agile (SCRUM, Kanban) and look at flexible frameworks and technologies (like MongoDB, JSON).

Main Responsibilities

The purpose of this internship is to build a fraud detection engine for accounts methods of payment (frequent traveller accounts, government payment,…). The first part will consist in analyzing the current payment flows in the travel industry and the data exchanged in order to evaluate the cost of fraudulent scenario pre-defined. The second part will consist in defining the functionalities and propose solutions to implement it. You will have to propose solutions that answer today’s needs and define a roadmap to breakdown the functionalities in coordination with the development and product management teams.

You will participate in the following activities:

· Functional analysis of the current functionalities supported in Amadeus Payment Application.
· Provide a state of the art in terms of business impact and analyze user needs and behaviors.
· Study and propose a solution for the data aggregation.
· Propose relevant KPI to measure the activities.
· Define the engine specifications.
· Define the roadmap for the implementation with the development team.
· Define the different user stories to breakdown the activities.
· Ensure transition of the requirements to the development team and convey a good understanding of the customers’ business and functional needs.
· Interface with different actors like Product management team.

Requirements

This is an ambitious subject as you will have to go through the different steps of the business analyst role (from functional requirement definition & technical analysis to final implementation and testing) on top of understanding the overall functionalities used on Amadeus Payment Platform.

Experience with data analysis, SQL/NoSQL databases is recommended.

Experience with scripting languages is a plus (Python, Ruby,…).

Experience in the payment and/or Travel Industry is a plus.
