Subject
Amadeus Departure Control System (DCS) is at the heart of airlines operations at the airport.
A very important step in the flight lifecycle, is the Weight & Balance, where Freight agents will create in the system the items to be loaded on the aircraft, Load controllers will choose the position of these items to enforce safety of the aircraft and minimal fuel consumption, and Ramp agents will load the aircraft itself in accordance with Load Controller’s instructions.
Amadeus DCS Flight Management provides today a Web based solution, called “FM Mobile”, optimised for tablet computers (7’’ and above), for these actors to execute their work as efficiently as possible.
There is however a growing demand to be able to use this solution on a wider range of devices, from desktop computers with 20+’’ screens, to smartphones with 4’’ screens, which requires to adapt the current interface.
The goal of this internship is to build a prototype of the FM Mobile application that will be usable on these different devices.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with our User
Experience expert, and Web developers to:
· Analyse the issues with the current application, on a large scale of device sizes
· Propose solution(s) to the problem (ie: Responsive design, etc...)
· Build the prototype based on the existing application
· Demo to the stakeholders and management in Amadeus
