6 Month Internship - Base Salary £22,000 per annum (pro-rated)

Amadeus handles a lot of real time, mission critical applications, with 24*7 traffic around the world.

One of these applications is Customer Management, which deals with everything related to a customer check-in and boarding on a flight, while interacting with other Amadeus applications.

Customer Management today :

· Hosts more than 80 airlines/handlers
· Handles about 4000 transactions per second, 24*7
· Handles about 800 million passengers annually
· Is set to expand even more from the middle of 2017!

Scope of this internship:

We have plenty of very complex modules and interactive flows and a suite of tools is needed to automate and minimise the time spent in real-time analysis & troubleshooting when issues are reported.

e.g. A big airline can transfer thousands of passengers each month, handle thousands of bags, submit thousands of messages to government authorities - and any of these flows could face a problem for a particular passenger.

Reactivity is the key!

The scope is to create a suite of tools for real time analysis and troubleshooting for some of our complex flows.

What to expect:

· The usage of the tools will be global, across all Amadeus development as well as frontline support offices for Customer Management ( London, Sydney, Nice, Miami, Boston, Dallas )

I.e. this won't just be a pretty prototype we get out once in a while :)

Rather a well-delivered product from you will be used every day, globally!

· Expect plenty of requirements, plenty of inputs, complex flows to grasp and expectations on delivery - essentially the proper real life work experience :)
· Feel free to use all your experience and research to choose a tooling language and architecture, or alternatively enhance the in-house suite.
· You will come away with an understanding of how to design a modular architecture, how to connect to a variety of platforms and interfaces, as well as how to keep usability & performance in mind in your design.
· You will deal with multiple people who work in different roles for Customer Management.

Requirements from delivered tools:

· The tools delivered need to be performant (did we mention real-time :0)), and usable by a vast number of people in parallel.
· Any information pulled out by the tools needs to be saveable and attachable for internal records.
· They should be easily deployable, modularized, maintainable & usable.

We are looking for an independent candidate, with an ability to grasp information very quickly, and an ability to design a well modularized, performant application.

Technical Skills:

Exposure to Python, Angular, SQL, PHP
