Position Purpose:
Enable the Global IT Support Services high performance on specific knowledge areas, by leading the required Knowledge Management & Advanced IT Support Training activities. Create and foster a knowledge sharing culture within Global IT Support Services by creating and sharing knowledge and know-how with Amadeus Customers and internal GSS Agents. The Technical Trainer analyzes, designs, develops and delivers classroom and online learning solutions to customers and internal employees using knowledge of instructional systems design.
Technical trainers must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. The Technical Trainer completes tasks proactively, or as directed with little supervision, and is an integral part of a Advanced IT Support Training. The goal of the Technical Trainer is to contribute to the development of people’s technical/IT skills to meet organizational needs.
Training:
• Plans, designs, develops, and delivers instructional programs, using instructor-led, train-the trainer, electronic/web-
based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats.
• Develops training materials to include, but not limited to instructor guides, user guides, job aids, process models,
multimedia solutions, and self-paced courses.
• Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection tools and
procedures.
• Maintain internal and external relationships with departments responsible for implementing Amadeus products and
customers in order to maintain all relevant parties product knowledge up-to date.
• Provides strategic consulting in all aspects related to training and/or technical training for organization-wide
initiatives and projects. Participates in the design, development and implementation of training programs of a broad
organizational scope.
• Conducts needs assessments to identify and evaluate training requirements for high impact technology training.
• Researches and studies advancements in educational technologies and methods; evaluates effectiveness of training
and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures.
• Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT:
• Collect & share existing knowledge assets, understand need for knowledge sharing within the different audiences
and identify knowledge gaps on key knowledge areas.
• Define and set-up knowledge sharing methods and tools for the involved Business Units, in alignment with the team
strategy and objectives.
• Coordinate maintenance (accuracy & relevance) of the knowledge assets from content owners shared through the
collaborative platform.
• Support ACS knowledge management strategy.
INNOVATION:
• Responsible to keep up with technology trends and recommend and/or implement innovative solutions, modifications
and enhancements to technology training programs.
• Identify, analyze and implement best practices from internal and external sources that could be replicated for the
Business Units.
• Assist in driving the early adoption of Innovation opportunities in GSS, aligned with business objectives and
priorities.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational technology, CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) Certification, or work experience in some of the
following areas; eLearning Development, Instructional Design, Corporate Training, or Adult Learning.
Relevant Work experience:
• 3 years experience using Instructional Systems Design process for designing/developing face to face, online training, electronic performance
support, and/or other distributed learning.
• 2-3 years experience with the Amadeus system working with airline, corporate or online travel agency applications.
Business Understanding:
Comprehensive understanding of the organization's structure and strategic direction as it applies to contious development of GSS employees, and upskilling of customers and other internal organizations.
Skills:
Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Language:
• Fluent in English, other languages a plus. Excellent verbal & written communication skills, facilitation and presentations skills.
Specific:
• Proficient delivering technical training in a classroom environment, or virtually.
• Extensive working knowledge in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs.
• Expert knowledge of GDS functionality, Amadeus Airline applications a plus.
• Proficient in developing multi-media solutions and self-paced courses using Camtasia, Captivate, or similar tools.
• Experience working with Knowledge Management tools such as online communities and search portals.
• Familiarity with Content Management and Learning Management Systems.
• Proficient using Online Virtual Classroom applications such as Web ex.
• Strong planning, project management and collaboration skills.
• Able to lead highly visibility training projects.
• Good organizational, analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to quickly become productive with new tools.
• Advanced critical and adaptive thinking skills.

Instructional Design:
• Experience with Instructional Systems Design (ADDIE), or in adult learning theory.
• Familiar with assessing knowledge transfer and training measurement methods.
• Ability to interpret training needs and develop effective instructional training solutions.
