1. Position Summary

Summary Overview of Responsibilities:

To maintain, troubleshoot and provision network and network security solutions as well as project manage, control, maintain and support a data center's local area nework and/or their security systems and solutions based on the TCP/IP environment (i.e. firewall of all technologies, application firewalls, RAS, network security, routers etc..) located in all Global Ops and special AMADEUS customer's network sites, with focus on service, quality, efficiency and cost optimization considering the optimal technology (technology research) and solution.

Work closely with the AMADEUS Security Office, Infrastructure Division and other related organizations to implement and monitor Internet/Extranet security policies and to ensure that the Global Core's/DC's/Office'/customer's network security environment and LAN is adequately protected.

2. Job Duties

- Administration and support (3rd level) of F5 load balancers as well as Juniper, Arista and Cisco routers.

- Administration and support (3rd level) of all operated network security

- Investigate, debug and solve relevant problems

- Engineer, implement and support of the AMADEUS Global Ops and special AMADEUS customer's network security environments in a complex WAN/WLAN/LAN/mobile environment

- Research as well as integratate, validatate and acceptance testing of security technology solutions and the technical recommendation of new architectural concepts, products, solutions, releases and enhancements

Product evaluation:

- Evaluation and analysis of vendors, auditors, consultants and providers as well as technical acceptance testing and validations of their solutions.

Security:

- Development & define AMADEUS security standards, policies & procedures and implement these through technical means

- Monitor policy compliance and laws

- Project management and control of implementations & support of Internet / Extranet security concepts

- Recommend changes to enhance the stability and performance of relevant platforms

- Assist more junior members of the team where appropriate

- Manage large internal and smaller external projects

- Understand and be able to offer assistance on cross-functional disciplines where required

- Provide training/assistance to the Department staff or other Departments/Divisions

- Assist in validation of new hardware relevant to their area of expertise

- Prepare and present technical presentations to Management

- Act as primary interface to vendors- Evaluation and analysis of vendors, auditors, consultants and providers as well as technical acceptance testing and validations of their solutions.

- Development & definition of AMADEUS security standards, policies & procedures and implement these through technical means

- Monitor policy compliance and laws

- Cost optimization of the AMADEUS enterprise firewalls in order to provide the most cost efficient and optimized firewall topology and design for the strategic firewall and network security direction.

- Mentor and work as a team with others in team

- Follow relevant developments within the IT industry

- Assist the user population is resolving any technical issues they may raise

- Recommend changes to enhance the stability and performance of relevant platforms

3. Qualifications/Experience

Education

• Degree in IT or computer science/engineering or related technical field

• Good to have - Certification on IT Systems, ITIL Fundamentals, V2 and V3

• Documented track record of successful completion of technical or customer related projects Experience in Airline domain is a plus

Relevant work experience

• Minimum 6 years of work experience in the technologies listed above

• Minimum 4 years of experience in working in an application management capacity'

Business understanding

Know How / Skills

Excellent knowledge in routing and switching; STP, Fabricpath, OSPF, BGP, etc.

Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one of the following:

- Cisco Switches/Routers and Cisco IOS and NX-OS

- Juniper Switches/Routers and Junos OS

- Arista switches and Arista EOS

- F5 load balancers

- In depth knowledge of network security and firewalling technologies mainly of statefull inspection- and deep-inspection firewalls

- In-depth knowledge of Check Point FireWall-1 NG installation, configuration and administration, VPN and SecuRemote

- Knowledge of Cisco PIX on FWSM installation, configuration and administration

- In-depth knowledge of the complete TCP/IP protocol suite including IP addressing scheme and subnetting and NAT/PAT

- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN (routers, switchers), DMZ

- Knowledge of Internet security and security concepts (firewalling, RADIUS, TACACS)

- Good knowledge of Internet principles and technologies (DNS, VPN concepts and SSL)

- Knowledge of LAN principles and protocols (Token Ring, Ethernet, Translation Bridging, Netbios,)

- Knowledge of LAN switching technology (VLANs) and devices

- Knowledge of routing devices and products (CISCO router family or similar)

- Knowledge of network management principles and protocols (SNMP)

- Strong experience in security designs

- Strong personality with very good communication and consulting skills and experience in multinational environment

- Strong skills in technical project work and project management

- Strong ability to work independently and self-motivated with leadership ability

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Excellent knowledge of the AMADEUS products, the AMADEUS network, as well as application and traffic flows

- Ability to develop, initiate and perform trainings

• 4+ years as Network Engineer

• Good Project management and/or team core-member representation

• Excellent knowledge of relevant OS and associated platform(s) and tools

• Excellent debugging and problem analysis skills

• Above average performance in present or previous position for not less than 1 year
