Purpose of the role
Provide functional and technical expertise to customers using the Instant Search suite of products. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the Amadeus Instant Search products and associated tools. It serves as functional/technical consultant to new or existing customers integrating Instant Search products within their systems. Responsibilities include: providing pre-sales support, performing requirements analysis, managing implementations and providing assistance to software developers. The position also requires to provide in-depth development consulting in Instant Search products to the customers.
Main responsibilities
Customer implementation
· Manage, track and follow-up assigned customer projects from project kick-off through project sign-off
· Create access to the development environment and co-ordinate specialized customer test requirements
· Validate customer implementation is in line with Amadeus recommendations
· Follow the customer through their launch in Production and Sign-off the project
Ensure high quality of service
· Verify of customer workflow and use-cases
· Check and manage customers' expectations in terms of Quality of Service, traffic estimates and anticipate potential issues
· Coordination with the R&D and Operations teams
· Verify traffic estimates and cascade impact on Amadeus partners
· Analyze and endorse Functional Specifications for Instant Search Products
Consultancy
· Conduct workshops at Amadeus and customers' premises
· Analyze existing customer systems
· Identify customer specific needs and requirements
· Recommend solutions making best use of Amadeus Search systems/products
· Provide functional expertise/support before, during and after implementation
· Provide Support to junior colleagues
Sales / pre-sales support
· Provide functional expertise to Account Managers, Sales Engineers, ACO sales team
· Contribute to the preparation of RFP or pre-sales efforts
· Act as internal escalation point for the department on support issues
Production support & others
· Contribute to the maintenance of internal documentation and support tools
· Maintain corresponding records (IR/PTR, WO and CR) in Win@proach and coach junior colleagues
· Act in accordance with ISO standards – participate in audits (internal and external)
· Contribute to regular team/department meetings
Requirements
· University Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in business analysis or product support in travel-related industry (fares, availability management, GDS knowledge, general travel industry knowledge and IT related knowledge)
· Knowledge of multinational environments and IT industry trends
· Experienced with Windows, MS Office applications and internet technologies and adept at learning different software application tools
· Understanding of Web Services concepts, XML and programming tools
· Familiarity with computer programming languages such as C, JAVA is a plus. Network and protocols knowledge is a plus
· English: excellent written and oral
· Local language is a plus (Thai, French)
· Good understanding of the travel industry and GDS-related travel products
· Strong knowledge of travel industry together with travel agency operations, and entails a high degree of interaction with both internal departments and external customers
