In Airlines, we are looking for dynamic Implementation Project Leaders/Managers to manage and implement our Reservation, Inventory and Ticketing (RIT) products for large variety of customers. As a project leader/manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation for our products for our customers.

In this role, you will drive the successful delivery of the project according to the agreed scope, timeline and budget while working with large stakeholder base across the internal and customer organization. You would also be working at all levels within the organization including reporting at Senior Management level on the airline side.

Airlines’ PSS Migrations

As part of PSS RIT projects and standard airline migration,

- Be the stream lead and ensure all products and roadmap tasks are executed on time.

- Be the first functional point of contact for the airlines.

- Work closely with the project /program manager in realizing the overall project objectives.

Delivery of Project/Services using Project Management principles

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing successful delivery of project/service within the agreed budget and scope.

Key accountabilities include (non-exhaustive):

- Define the project scope and ensure change management is effectively followed for the duration of the project following scope sign-off

- Deliver Amadeus deliverables to customer in line with existing processes & procedures

- Implement Project Governance, reporting progress to project stakeholders

- Ensure Risk management is followed and actively aiming to identify risks, issues & opportunities and develop risk mitigation/action plan through the project

- Accountable to Senior Management and Senior Customer stakeholders for the end-to-end delivery of the Project including budget management

- Apply and adhere to Amadeus Project Management processes, using the Methodology, tools and standards to ensure best practices

Planning (including Feasibility) for Projects &/or Services

- Perform feasibility/analysis, provide estimate for projects &/or adhoc services of all complexities

- Plan implementation activities and build project plan, for all sizes of airline and closely follow and track to manage throughout the project

- Prepares Cutover Window Plans (CWPs) & Cutover Checklist for all sizes of airline. Has responsibility for managing the whole cutover event for all sizes of airline

- Co-ordinates and plans own activities and those of others within and outside of the team

Process capitalization & Knowledge sharing

- Ensure adherence to department methodology & procedures

- Improves long-term efficiency of the department & division by pro-actively challenging and improving existing processes and procedures.

- Share expertise with colleagues, including people in other areas.

- Is consistently sought out by others for their expertise in multiple business functions, technical areas or internal standards or processes.

- Acts as a facilitator and mentor, moving the team or whole department forward

Pre-sales support &/or contract reviews

- Provide support & guidance during sales engagement as and when required

- Provide support to account teams during contract finalization as and when required to ensure implementation services delivered as per agreed contractual framework

Education

University degree or equivalent work experience

Relevant work experience

- You have 3+ years of experience in Airline PSS functional domain (Reservations, Inventory, Ticketing)

- You have 2+ years in IT Project or Programme Management having managed a minimum of one or more projects OR Project Management certification

Business Understanding

Airline Business Knowledge, Product understanding & Technical Expertise

- Has a breadth of knowledge in more than one business functional area and a comprehensive knowledge on at least one area.

- Has a broad understanding of Airline I.T. landscape and third party industries. Applies this knowledge in decision making, in making judgements on priorities and risk mitigation

- Anticipates customer needs and works in partnership with the customer to clarify requirements and feasibility for short and long term solutions.

- Build strong overall knowledge of all related Amadeus systems and functions (Reservation, Inventory, Ticketing, Codeshare, DCS)

Skills

Computing - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project), Knowledge of IT systems/architecture

Specific knowledge - Airline Business knowledge, Altea Product Knowledge, Reservation, Inventory and Ticketing

Other - Project Management Certification (PRINCE2 or PMP, etc), Excel VB Scripting, Understanding of Webservices/XML/EDIFACT interfaces, Understanding of Network/Infrastructure setup
