Key Skills required:
· 2:1 or higher within Computer Science or Maths (must have a keen interest in programming)
· A Level requirement BBB and above (or equivalent if international)
· Demonstrated familiarity with different programming techniques and Object oriented languages (more specifically, UML and C++ OO)
· End to end project experience including, all phases of the development cycle and specific demonstrated interest and innovation on some concept, coding method and design techniques.
You will go on a steep learning curve quickly and will be involved in live projects from day 1. Not only learning, we have fun too! We have regular Hackathons, “Bash Days” where the entire R&D business down tools to fix as many outstanding bugs as possible, plus 2 company events a year.
Here are some of the responsibilities you may have:
· Develops skills in fundamental technical theories, procedures and practices.
· Use clearly defined procedures to solve routine problems.
· Produces code, problem investigations, support or testing within timescales and standards.
· Write operational and software documentation necessary.
· Build an understanding of the system architecture and build the big picture of the system.
· Solve or propose fundamental and complex IT solutions within immediate technical field.
· Build an understanding of the relationships between work processes and the business.
· Appreciation of the standards of work, project life cycle and Amadeus methodologies.
· Work cooperatively with others to achieve team goals.
· Build stable and working collaborative relationships.
· Achieve agreed development milestones.
· Asks questions, checks for understanding and provides clear and precise explanations.
